Horses Needing Adoption Horses that are rescued from abuse, neglect, slaughter or surrendered to a rescue agency all need to be adopted by loving owners. Rescue agencies have limited capacity, and providing a home to one of these horses allows the agency to save another horse from a bad situation. Rescued horses, while sometimes not ideal for the inexperienced owner, appreciate the second chance at life that they are given and often become the owner’s favorite. Whether you are willing to provide a rescued horse a permanent home or a foster home while awaiting adoption, more horses can be saved by the rescue agencies if more horses can be removed from their facilities.
