Welcome to MississippiHorses.org, an online community dedicated to providing horse owners opportunities to insure their horses will be treated with dignity and respect when they are no longer wanted. Our network includes people and facilities that will assist in finding a horse, regardless of condition, a place to live without the worry of the horse being sent to auction and ending up in a slaughterhouse. We have resources that will allow us to take younger horses and either place them with a loving family or retrain them for a different use. Finally, if the horse is at the end of its life and needlessly suffering, MississippiHorses.org can arrange for humane euthanasia through the Operation MS Horse medical fund.
Our mission is simple: to protect horses and help owners who can no longer care for their animals find a humane and loving alternative to cruel death by slaughter or abandonment. ******Please Help****** The Rankin County Animal Shelter is in need of thirteen 12’ livestock panels. Donated panels or monetary donations for the panels will go a long way in making life better for abused and neglected horses.
