Diesel

Gender: Gelding
DOB: 2016
Height:
Breed: Kieger Mustang
Color: Dun

Diesel was a yearling when he and his herd of feral pasture mates were dropped off at the Open Door Shelter in 2017. He’s been in training a few times but hasn’t had the consistency needed to turn him around. He participated in the Trainer a Rescue Challenge and did great with his partner. He will be one that someone will need to start over to get him to trust them. He needs someone who can work him every day for several months to get him past his fear and to forget his feral past. His fee will increase with training. He wants so badly to trust and does most of the time. Diesel has a good start on the ground work. If you have a heart for the “wild at heart” and the time to put into him, you will not go wrong with Diesel. Mustangs make loyal riding partners.

Diesel was part of the 120 Day Training Challenge. His improvements include easier to catch, trusting humans, and some desensitizing.
