Taco

Gender: Gelding
DOB: 2009
Height: 14.2 Breed: Paso Fino
Color: Bay

Adoption fee: TBD

Taco the little Paso Fino bay is quite the barn favorite. Taco came from a farm in Alabama that was damaged in the tornado during the spring of 2021 . He was re-homed; however, once again is looking for a loving home. He’s a 14 year old Paso Fino gelding and has been evaluated. He is currently in rehab for for a sore back and some lameness issues on his front feet. He has been under the care of Dr. Vise and also taking some chiropractic sessions.

Taco has the fast gait of a Paso Fino, so if you want to go slow, he’s not your guy. But, if you like a smooth steady gait, you should give him a try. Taco was in the Alabama tornado that hit in the spring of 2020. He was adopted and recently turned due to no fault of his own.

As you might can see, Taco is quite a ladies man. He’s currently in competition with Loki for the heart of one bay at 12 Oaks name Aurora. Wouldn’t you know it, Loki is quite found of her too. However, Aurora is playing is kind of cool with both of these guys. As you might can imagine, it creates quite a stir around the barn whenever Loki is involved.

Poor Aurora has packed on the pounds lately and is attending “fat camp.” All Taco can do is gaze from the fence. Watch as they meet over the fence that keeps them apart. https://tinyurl.com/bdh7mkhy

Taco is receiving the best care available. Please remember the rescue is packed with horses just like him. He is a gentle horse and adapts well to his surroundings. Taco is available for foster to adopt to someone who can care for him as he heals. He is on his way to recovery and someones heart.
